‘Maia won 2 firsts at her first time riding at the cattle show on her pony Blue. Who then went on to win the Champion Horse.’ - Maia’s Mum

“This month Ruaridh has been showing us more of his adventurous side! We’ve had lots of days out and he’s enjoyed trying various fairground attractions including a rock-climbing wall and his first roller coaster. We’re so proud of him for showing an interest in trying these things and it’s clear to see how much he is enjoying each new experience – even if he has said after that they’ve been ‘a little bit scary’. Ada surprised us recently by holding a duck at nursery. She can be frightened and nervous around animals but she must have been feeling brave and safe enough with her Apple Tree friends and was very proud of herself! Ada also learned how to cycle her bike properly and has been loving being out and about on cycles to the park and the kiosk. We are super proud of you Ada, there’s no stopping you now!’ – Ada’s Mum

‘Esmé had her first night away camping in her new blue campervan. She had lots of fun running around the campsite and playing on the playground. She also had her first night away from mummy when I was in Italy with work.’ – Esmé Mum

‘Axl created a story using his bookbug pack. He made marks on the paper that resembled a snail so we created one and then other characters to create Amazing Axl and the Colourful Wormery. A story about a worm who felt sad that he wasn’t colourful like the other characters but learned he is happy to be who he is naturally and can play with colour with friends.’ – Axl’s Mum

I would like to share one of Amina’s recent achievements. Amina has been attending Highland dancing classes and is making great progress. She is very dedicated, enjoys learning new routines, and continues to improve her skills and confidence with each class. We are very proud of her enthusiasm and commitment. - Amina’s Mum

Well done Axl!
Axl has been learning to go his balance bike in the garden and even ventured out along the waterside and was able to do well keeping in a straight line and balancing – Axl’s Mum
Well done Scott!
Scott has been asking to climb a snowy mountain so we packed a lunch and took the opportunity to climb Ben Nevis which was 5.54 miles and 1,900 feet. Climbing various terrain, with it becoming more challenging the higher we climbed Scott navigated each level so well, taking it carefully when needed. As he reached the top “we did it!!!” It was so windy it was difficult to stand straight but leaning on the trig point Scott stayed safe. Well done Scott, first one smashed!

Ada’s biggest achievement this month is moving 327 miles to the Isle of Bute and starting her new Nursery setting in so well and making new friends we are super proud of her! – Ada’s Mum

“We recently had a day out with family to celebrate our nephew's birthday. One of the activities we did was ten pin bowling. This was Ruaridh's first time playing ten pin bowling and he had the most amazing time. He demonstrated his turn taking skills and was quick to pick up the steps we needed to take when it was his turn - choosing and setting up the ramp, choosing and collecting a bowling ball and placing it on the ramp, pushing the ball down the ramp and then making sure we moved the ramp ready for his big cousin's turn. He even 'bowled us over' by scoring a STRIKE...! Well done, Ruaridh!” - Ruaridh’s Mum

“Responding to RJC Primary 3a class community challenge to get outdoors and take a video reciting a Scottish song or poem, Brody sang Coulters Candy (Ally Bally Bee) which he learned at Apple Tree. His entry was selected as the best and was awarded a certificate and a National Book token voucher.

- Counted to 99″
